Veteran movie actor Jim Carrey certainly seems to be one very popular Hollywood star as he had some fairly big names around him on Thursday evening.
The Dumb And Dumber standout was yucking it up with his A-list friends as he celebrated his 62nd birthday early in Los Angeles. His birth date is January 17.
The comedic great rocked a hippie look as he wore his long dark brown hair down while exiting the very private restaurant San Vicente Bungalows – where Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock often dine.
And he carried a birthday gift in his arm as a cake in a pink box was placed into his waiting black SUV.
Among the group were movie stars Adam Sandler and Dustin Hoffman. Talk show king Jimmy Kimmel, who recently denied Aaron Rodgers' claims he was on Jeffrey Epstein's notorious list, made an appearance. Also spied were comedians Seth Green, Bill Burr and Jeff Ross.
Carrey has a stunning acting career that began with the variety show In Living Color, mushroomed when he was in Ace Ventura, and built momentum with hits like Dumb And Dumber and How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
In the past year he has said he wants to give acting a break as he focuses on his paintings.

Kimmel has had a tough week.
The TV star threatening to sue Aaron Rodgers as their bitter dispute hit a new contemptuous level following the New York Jets quarterback's claims about the Epstein list.
The NFL star escalated the feud this week when he joked Kimmel could be named on the list of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein's associates, which triggered an expletive-laden retort from the comedian.
Kimmel threatened to sue the four-time NFL MVP as he branded him an 'a**hole' and accused him of putting his family in danger.
This comes after Carrey denied rumors he will be making a sequel to his popular film How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
In November he said it was not going to happen.
It was been claimed that a follow-up to 2000 Christmas film – How the Grinch Stole Christmas – was being planned, according to Giant Freaking Robot. They also alleged Jim was set to make a comeback to the titular Grinch role from the Ron Howard film.
The publication claimed: 'Jim Carrey is returning to Universal Pictures for The Grinch 2, once again playing Dr. Seuss's most famous and ill-tempered creation.'
But the story appeared to be false.
The thespian's representative told People: 'There is no truth to Jim reprising his role as the Grinch in a sequel to The Grinch.'

It may not come as a surprise to some that the actor is not reprising the 23-year-old role, as he previously revealed he was not a fan of sequels.
Speaking to CinemaBlend in 2017, the actor said: 'I find sequels are a function of commerce for the most part.
'At least the two I've done, they were characters I enjoyed doing, but I did find myself almost parroting myself at that point.
'When you put 10 years between you and the last time you did it, suddenly you're going, "How did I do that again?"… So, you're imitating your original inspiration.'
The Batman Forever actor notably announced that he was planning on 'retiring' from acting in 2022 following the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 2, and explained that he feels he has 'done enough.'
During an interview with Access Hollywood at the time, the Bruce Almighty star discussed his plans after being asked if he was 'serious' about the decision. 'Well, I'm retiring. Yeah, probably. I'm being fairly serious.
'If the angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink, that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road,' he told Access Hollywood at the time. 'But I'm taking a break.'
The actor has written several books over his long career.

He has also become somewhat infamous for his political cartoons, has been focusing on his art.

'I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life,' he told the outlet.
'I feel like, and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists, I have enough, I've done enough. I am enough.'
It comes after earlier this year Jim listed his 'sanctuary' Los Angeles mansion for a whopping total of $28.9 million, which has been his place of residence for nearly 30 years.

The Golden Globe winner initially purchased the lavish estate in 1994, but informed The New York Post in a statement published on Monday that he was ready for 'changes' in his life.
Jim opened up about his reasoning to list his long-time home in a statement to The New York Post, and expressed, 'For three decades it's been a sanctuary for me but I don't spend a lot of time there now and I want someone else to enjoy it like I have.'
He humorously added that he was ready for, 'Cha cha cha cha … Changes,' referencing to a hit David Bowie track titled: Changes.
According to the outlet, Carrey had purchased the home, which is located in the Brentwood neighborhood in L.A., for $3.8 million in 1994.

The talented star also talked to The Wall Street Journal in regards to selling the sprawling 12,704 square-foot mansion. He expressed that the house had been, 'a place of enchantment and inspiration.'
While reflecting on his years there, he stated, 'Every night the owls sang me lullabies and every morning I sipped my cup of joe with the hawks and hummingbirds, under a giant grandfather pine.'
Listing his mansion was a positive step for the star who is ready for a change in his life, not long after Jim revealed that he had plans to retire from acting last year in April.
