Jennifer Aniston turned 55-years-old on Super Bowl Sunday.
And the Friends actress was quick to take to Instagram to wish herself a happy birthday.
In her post she said she was 'grateful' for her life as she shared dozens of flashback photos, even some from her teen years.
The star also quotes The Layers by Stanley Kunitz.
'I have walked through many lives, some of them my own, and I am not who I was, though some principle of being abides, from which I struggle not to stray.
'When I look behind, as I am compelled to look before I can gather strength to proceed on my journey, I see the milestones dwindling toward the horizon and the slow fires trailing from the abandoned camp-sites, over which scavenger angels wheel on heavy wings.'
There was also a passage about 'living in the layers, not on the litter.'
Salma Hayek also shared a tribute as she posed with the Emmy winning star.
Reese Witherspoon added, 'Happy Birthday to the greatest friend / partner / TV sister I could ever hope for! I love you @jenniferaniston.'

This comes after the star was seen in a Super Bowl ad with David Schwimmer.
The actress enjoyed a mini Friends reunion with her on-screen love-interest from the show Schwimmer, 57, in a new Uber Eats commercial for the Super Bowl.
The minute-long spot features several stars including David and Victoria Beckham in addition to country music sensation Jelly Roll but it was the former co-stars' interaction which was highlighted most of all.
The premise of the funny commercial actually begins with Jennifer who receives a bag of different goods including flowers and shampoo from Uber Eats which is handed by a production assistant.
As she hands the bag to the A-lister she tells the star that she didn't remember that you could get 'all this stuff on Uber Eats.'
There was also a passage about 'living in the layers, not on the litter'
She was also seen in her undies from a photo shoot last year
There was also a clip of her from the film The Office
And she was seen more recently at home in this wrinkly black shirt

Reese Witherspoon added, 'Happy Birthday to the greatest friend / partner / TV sister I could ever hope for! I love you @jenniferaniston'
Jennifer replies: 'Well you know what they say; in order to remember something you've got to forget something else. Make a little room.'
Then come a bunch of hilarious situations where individuals order Uber Eats but forget something that is relatively common knowledge.
In the middle of the spot, Jennifer is standing on set holding her bag from Uber Eats as David arrives on set.
He greets her very nonchalantly and goes in for a hug but his former castmate looks a bit thrown off and it gets a bit more awkward as she doesn't even move her bag as he goes in for a hug.
Jennifer hilariously queries: 'Um, have we met?'
Her biggest hit in 2023 was her work with a brand,
She has been working with Pvolve, which the Morning Show actress said has changed her approach to fitness.
Aniston had one of the most famous romances in television history with David Schwimmer but she did not seem to remember him in a hilarious new commercial
Their characters Rachel Greene and Ross Gellar were involved in one of the main plotlines throughout the show as they were considered the 'one true pairing' or endgame of the show; they are seen in 1995
After spending years 'breaking her body,' Aniston was thrilled to find Pvolve, she has said.
'With this program, you can start gentle,' explained the star. 'You can restore your body.'
She said it is an innovative method that she 'instantly fell in love with.' The star has also shared earlier this year: 'So proud to support our female founder and the beyond talented trainers. This is one of my favorite workouts… and I’m so grateful for the team and excited for what’s to come.'
Through low-impact movement and resistance-based equipment, Pvolve users achieve not only aesthetic results, mobility, and stability but also feel more confident and energized, she has said.
Over the last year, Aniston has incorporated Pvolve’s patented equipment—like the P.ball, P.band, and P.3 Trainer—into her routine.
As an authentic fan, she joined Pvolve to assist with key areas of the business and bring awareness to the method that’s transformed her idea of fitness, the press release has stated.
She was seen flashing her midsection in a bra top and leggings for new images to promote her collaboration with Pvolve, an exercise program that pairs functional movement with resistance-based equipment.
Dani Coleman, Aniston’s Pvolve Trainer, also told DailyMail.com, 'Our on-demand library offers classes across a variety of lengths and levels so you can start slow and work your way to more advanced training.
'For someone newer to exercise, we recommend starting off with our Moves & Equipment tutorial page (under filters tab in Collections) to learn the foundations of the method and then continue with our Get Started category. Pvolve’s Live Virtual Studio also allows you to stream classes live so you can interact with the instructor.'
The Hollywood it girl started working with the program after hurting her back two years ago.
And she claims Pvolve helps 'strengthen and restore' her body through its on-demand classes.
'As we get into our lovely older periods, we have to keep it exciting. And we have to be kinder to our bodies,' the Friends vet told People this week.
Partners: Rachel also shared the clip as she added, '4 weeks of mine and @jenniferaniston favorite classes. Come workout with us @pvolve'
Muscles! Aniston showed off her impressive abs for the advertisement
Work it! 'With this program, you can start gentle,' explained the star
And she has told her pals to get on it.
'I like to find something that really works and then share it with my girlfriends,' Aniston noted.
'If I had known about it 20 years ago when I was breaking my body to begin with, we would've saved so much pain.'
Aniston went to Pvolve founder Rachel Katzman to talk about working together to promote the program.
'I just want more people to know about it because I think it's so good,' the actress added.
She says likes how the program is different.
'Our minds used to think, we have to hurt; no pain, no gain. It has to be an hour of a workout. You have to work out three times a day.
'With this, you can start gentle,' she explained.
'My girlfriend transformed her entire body, and it just had such a beautiful snowball effect in so many positive areas of her life.'
A stunner: Aniston has been able to maintain her incredible size 2 shape even as she settled into her 50s. Seen in the film Just Got With It…
The star added, 'It was so user-friendly, you just start in little tiny chunks, tiny steps. And then next thing you know, you've done four 20-minute classes because you just want to keep going.'
Aniston has been able to maintain her incredible size 2 shape even as she has settled into her 50s.
In April 2022, the Morning Show actress shared with First For Women magazine how she is able to look so youthful even as she works full time on her acting career and heads up companies like LolaVie Haircare.
The 5ft5in cover girl admitted that she keeps her diet in check by starting her day off with warm lemon water and she also takes climbing classes on her stair climber. But the best part of her day is the time she sets aside to meditate, she said.
In the section titled Curbs Cravings: Breakfast With A Twist, the blonde beauty said: 'During quarantine I loved cooking.'
The Cake actress added: 'When I wake up I have warm lemon water, then a shake or avocado and eggs. I found ways to make eggs every which way.'
The ex-wife of Oscar-winning actor Brad Pitt then shared: 'But I also do oatmeal with an egg white whipped in.
'Do it right before the oatmeal is finished cooking – it gives extra protein and this fluffy texture that's delicious.'
In an interview with Radio Times, Aniston revealed that intermittent fasting (IF) has changed her life.
She practices a version of IF called the 16:8 diet.
'I do intermittent fasting, so no food in the morning. I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours.'
As far as working out, she told First For Women that puts in the work but likes variety.
'Changing up my workout routine is key,' she began. 'I always try to surprise my muscles.'
She said she works out at Rise Nation, which is a fitness climbing cardio class.
'It's such a great workout,' she said.
'And when my trainer Leyon, whom I love more than life, handed me a jump rope for the first time, I said, "You're out of your mind,"' added the star, who boasts a 23in waistline.
'I would dread doing it and I would skip instead of jump over the rope,' added the Los Angeles native.
'He kept saying, "No, do it correctly." It was so irritating,' shared the daughter of soap opera actor John Aniston.
'But within six months my jumping became fluid. Now I can just go and go and go.'
For her skin, she treats herself to a mini facial once a week.
And the siren said that one of the things she looks forward to the most is meditation in a quiet, comfortable space.
'It's my favorite moment,' said the ex-wife of Justin Theroux, whom she has stayed good friends with.
'I wish we could freeze time in that magic hour because there's a lot of taking it all in, the appreciation of the day.'
Also doing yoga, sitting quietly and writing helps her focus on calm.
And shockingly, she said doing dishes is very relaxing for her as she likes to keep her kitchen tidy.
And Aniston has gotten into organizing her Bel-Air, California mansion which she shares with dogs.
In November, Jennifer shared a post for Matthew Perry, who died at age 54 at home in Los Angeles on October 28.
'Oh boy this one has cut deep… Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,' began Aniston.'
'We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep,' she added as she remarked that it was always the '6 of us' on Friends.
She ended with, 'Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying “could you BE any crazier?” Rest little brother. You always made my day…'
