Jennifer Aniston is urging voters not to cast a ballot for Kanye West, saying “it’s not funny” to pick the rapper as the next commander in chief.
The “Friends” star shared a photo of herself Friday voting early in the White House race, and included a political message.
“It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it,” Aniston, 51, said. “Please be responsible.”
“Yeezus” rapper West launched his long-shot presidential bid, running under the Birthday Party, in July.
In her Instagram post, Aniston said she was supporting the Democratic ticket of former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) on Nov. 3.
“Right now, a few men in power are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies,” she wrote.
The performer took aim at President Trump’s attitude towards race and his administration’s handling in response to the coronavirus pandemic: “Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science… too many people have died.”
“I urge you to really consider who is going to be most affected by this election if we stay on the track we’re on right now,” the Emmy Award winner said. “This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world.”
